If you love chocolate cake then get this book. To start with, the book is well laid out and the instructions are easy to follow. It's as easy as 1,2,3. Margaret has numbered each ingredient and each action needed to follow the instructions and anyone should be able to follow these recipes with ease.Then of course, there are the actual recipes. What can I say about them? They're sinful! They're delicious! They're superb! I didn't actually make Margaret's Chocolate Mayonnaise Cake but I checked and it's the exact same recipe I've been making for years and it always turns out exceptionally well. It's easy to make and moist and flavorful.
Then there's the One Bowl Chocolate Cake - that's my kind of cake, only one bowl needed and no fuss involved in making the recipe. This is another recipe I also have been using for some time and I can attest to the fact that it makes a lovely cake.
Another thing I like about this book is that most of the cake recipes also have frosting recipes with them. That is a nice touch and one I also used in my cake cookbook. I think if you're making cake it's great to have a recipe for icing as well.

It is an wonderful book for all the chocolate lovers (and who is not -)).. Great Yummy recipes . Going to make my chocolate recipe pick and dig in to it as soon as possible
So many wonderful recipes it is hard to decide which one to bake first! I also enjoyed the history and humor mixed in with the recipes.
If your a big time lover of chocolate, like myself, you'll definitely love this book! The author offers a ton of creative recipes that will surely bring joy to your family and friends. I especially like how the author takes the time, and easily explains the steps for baking these wonderful treats. Highly recommended!
My favorite thing about this book was how simple it is to follow the recipes. They all required ingredients that most people would have no trouble finding easily. I like that they narrowed it ddown to the best 20. Keeping it simple, but delicious, was nice
Chocolate is not just for Gals! I love a good rich Chocolate Treat and this book has numerous great ones. I love the Coke-Cola recipe. I don't know what it does but that is a delicious cake. It's kinda like the Sprite in the Crock -pot recipes. Anyway. Loved it! Hold on I have to go get another glass of milk! Yum
This book has a very traditional and warming feel to it that makes you feel cozy (dunno, at least to me). As I went through the book, I like how the author provided historical background as the recipes were shown. I shared it with my neighbor and we tried the Chocolate Depression Cake. It was delicious. We're gonna try the Gluten-Free, Flourless Chocolate Cake over the weekend. Would really recommend.
